Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from a mixed-race family from South London in England. The mother of her child is English and her father Nigerian. She grew on the south London community estate, as a teenager, she fourteen, she attended The Brit School. She earned her BA in acting from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While attending the academy, she appeared in several stage productions, including King Henry V playing Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe got her start in acting with a film titled Storm Damage. Over the past few years she has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Madekwe's breakthrough came in 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was in the role of Colin Farrell (who played the role of Cassandra) as well as Ewan McGrath. In the wake of that film's success she was cast as Elisha in the one-off BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as appearing in six episodes of Trexx and Flipside as Ollie. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi, the lead role on ITV2's drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was the main character in How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedic comedy released in 2008. The credits on stage for Madekwe are Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe made her US debut on The Beautiful Life in 2009. The series aired only two episodes at The CW, and was later ended. Ashley Davenport, a character from ABC's Revenge drama series was cast for her as Ashley Davenport. After appearing on the show for the initial two seasons the show was announced late May 2013 that she would quit the show following her appearance on the pilot episode from the 3rd season. In the television series Salem the actress played Tituba in 2014 through 2016. Madekwe was married to her long-time love, Iddo. The two have collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he has also appeared alongside Madekwe in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actor who was raised by the large family. She was the daughter of Roy and Patty Leggat. Her parents Roy and Patty along with her four brothers, Brett, Todd, and Bram who were also present. The four brothers of Ashley, each of them extremely physically active, were all playing hockey in the winters and baseball in the summer months, which means they grew up mostly in arenas and baseball parks. Ashley could not walk but could dance. In the end, at the age of 2 She discovered Baby Ballet. It was then that she discovered Ashley's interest in dance. When she was in High School, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in tap, jazz, ballet and pointe as well as acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip hop. She was the top soloist in big competitions, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which were all given to Ashley.
